Mar. 11, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), the country's largest integrated oil and gas company, yesterday announced to continue implementing cost-cutting measures this year due to the global economic downturn.

The move includes reducing spending on project construction by over 10%, and to cut oil and gas lifting costs by 5%.

Meanwhile, the budget for the overseas business travel in 2009 will be cut by 10% from a year earlier. The cost of car purchases is also reduced by at least 10%.
